Tinubu to leave Nigeria for Equatorial Guinea on Wednesday

President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Wednesday, for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, on a three-day official visit.

In a statement on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, the trip is at the request of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The statement said Tinubu will meet with Mbasogo at the Presidential Villa on arrival.

Ngelale said the presidents will discuss agreements, particularly on oil and gas and security.

“The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other members of his cabinet who will be involved in the signing of agreements and review of opportunities to improve bilateral relations,” the statement reads.
