Masters Energy Celebrates ‘Youth Power’ With Week-long Event
Masters Energy Group has again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to empowering the youth in a week-long event titled: “Channeling the Energy of our Youth towards Building a Great Future,” organised in commemoration of the 2024 International Youth Day, which held on Monday, August 12th.
The event, rich in engagement and purpose, highlighted the company’s belief in the potential of young people and its dedication to investing in their future. The festivities kicked off with a series of social media posts that
underscored Masters Energy’s faith in the youth. This digital campaign set the tone for the week, reminding everyone of the vital role young people play within the company and society at large.
Last week Tuesday, the celebration took a meaningful turn with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, where food items were distributed to over 180 families across various parts of Lagos, including Onigbongbo,
Mende, and Sogunle. This act of kindness was graciously sponsored by the Uche Ogah Foundation, showcasing the company’s commitment to giving back to the community and supporting those in need.
This is a way of helping people with the socio-economic hardship currently experienced in the nation. The grand finale of the Youth Week took place on Friday, August 16th, at the Corporate Head Office in Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
The youth within the organization were treated to an elaborate and inspiring
event, celebrating their contributions and potential.
The event began with an opening speech by Emmanuel AnuOluwatomiwa from the Digital, Brands & Corporate Communications department. AnuOluwatomiwa emphasized the significance of the event and the crucial
roles that young people play in the company. He also conveyed the management’s unwavering belief in the younger generation, particularly highlighting the commitment of the Group Managing Director, Barr. (Mrs.) Patience Dappa, to ensuring that the staff are motivated to lead fulfilling lives and careers.
Chidubem Ogah, the representative of the Uche Foundation, sent a congratulatory message to the youth of the organization. In his message, he encouraged the youth to realize that there are yet enormous opportunities in the nation despite the current challenges. He encouraged them to be creative and make use of available digital tools to stay ahead of their game.
Femi Adisa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Biblical Billionaires Club, was the guest speaker. He taught the participants practical secrets to ensuring financial freedom. In his statement, Adisa emphasized that there is no way a man can be financially free without financial discipline. He encouraged them to have a consistent
savings plan and invest those savings wisely in proven ventures that they understand.
A plenary session followed, tackling the challenges faced by young people and exploring solutions. This interactive forum allowed the organizers to tap into the ideas and perspectives of the young staff, with the event anchored by team members who hadn’t previously taken center stage. This approach reflected the Founder, Dr. Uche Ogah’s, mandate for current leaders to cultivate new leaders within their departments.
The event concluded with a closing address from the Executive Vice Chairman, Sir VUK Ajala, who advised the youth to heed the wisdom of those who have gone before them to avoid unnecessary mistakes. The rest of the day was filled with fun, games, and connections between staff from various locations. The theme of the Youth Week was evident throughout the entire celebration, reinforcing Masters Energy’s dedication to nurturing
the leaders of tomorrow.
