’Don’t be hurt if anyone mocks you’ – Mrs Obaseki tells TTC women
Recall that Oshiomole took a swipe at her last week and called her ‘’barren’’
Betsy Obaseki, the wife of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State Governor, has reacted to the comment made by a former governor of the state and APC chieftain, Adams Oshiomole, in which he referred to her as ‘’Barren’’.
Recall that Oshiomole took a swipe at her last week and called her ‘’barren’’ after she, Mrs Obaseki, inferred that of all the candidates for the September 21 governorship election in the state, it is only the candidate of her party which is the PDP that has a wife. Oshiomole interpreted her comment as a jab thrown at his party, the APC’s candidate, and decided to use her inability to have children as his clapback.
In an apparent response to his comment, Mrs Obaseki while speaking at a women’s meeting on Saturday, September 7, said no woman should be ashamed of being called barren. She went down memory lane to the time she suffered miscarriage as well as a painful evacuation.
