May Edochie donates over N10m, food aid, and others to support indigent women

It was an activity-packed day Monday as friends and well-wishers joined actress, May Yul-Edochie, to celebrate her birthday and give out monetary and food aid to indigent women in Lagos.
The entrepreneur, who is the founder of May’s Oasis Foundation, kicked off events to mark her birthday at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church in Lagos and was later accompanied by her friends to the slums of Makoko to give out food aid to the less privileged.
Many bags of rice, 100 units of cooking oil, packaged foods and drinks were given to the large crowd of women gathered inside Adekunle Primary School, Makoko, venue of the event.
Some friends of the celebrant, like Patricia Onumonu, used the happy moment to offer 10 women apprenticeship opportunities with stipends in her fashion house for one year.
The national secretary of the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA), Dr. Chinaza Ugboaja said of May, “I want to acknowledge the work that Queen May is doing. She is unveiling a lot of untold stories to society. I decided to sponsor this event for my friend and fellow ambassador because she is a hard-working woman with a heart of gold, and we at the IAWPA are very proud of her.”
Olympic gold medalist, Dr. Chioma Ajunwa-Opara was also at the event to support and celebrate with May.
