Nigeria’s lone surviving side in continental football, Rivers United, will battle ASEC Mimosas of Cote d’Ivoire in Group B of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Motema Pembe from DR Congo and Diables Noir from Congo are the other teams drawn in the same group of the Confederation Cup with Rivers United.
Rivers United welcome ASEC Mimosas a week later to Port Harcourt, where they will be seeking to win the match and scoop all three points.
The top two clubs will qualify for the knockout rounds of the tournament.
No Nigerian team have won this competition since the competition started in 2004.
