Gov Oyebanji recalls Ekiti Commissioner for Information to duty post


Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has told the former Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun to return to the State Executive Council.
This development is coming seven days after the dissolution of the state cabinet by Governor Fayemi.
Olatunbosun’s recall was conveyed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the State’s number one citizen,Yinka Oyebode in Ado-Ekiti.
Signed by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Prof. Habaibat Adubiaro, the recall letter dated August 18, said that Olatunbosun would continue in his role as commissioner for information.
Prof. Adubiaro noted that the recall of the information commissioner takes immediate effect.
JESNews correspondent recalls that the Ekiti Governor had on August 11, dissolved the state executive council, mandating commissioners and special advisers to hand over to permanent secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their ministries, departments and agencies.
At the time of the cabinet dissolution, Oyebanji retained six commissioners, including Finance, Works and Human Capital Development.
