Moniepoint partners ALU to train tech leaders

Moniepoint, ALU launch executive programme to build fintech leaders.
Moniepoint Inc. has partnered the African Leadership University (ALU) School of Business to introduce a 13-week executive development programme aimed at strengthening its leadership pipeline and supporting the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.
The fintech company said the programme will equip managers with advanced skills in leadership, strategic management and data-driven decision-making to help drive digital transformation at scale.
According to Moniepoint, the executive education initiative blends in-person immersion sessions, live virtual classes and self-paced learning across two tracks: Strategic Management and Leadership, and Data-Driven Decision-Making.
Group Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Inc., Tosin Eniolorunda, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to developing world-class leaders who can sustain innovation and expand financial inclusion across Africa.
He stressed that strong leadership is critical to effective execution, adding that Nigeria must intentionally develop the talent needed to power its digital economy rather than rely on external expertise.
Eniolorunda noted that as Moniepoint continues to expand its digital financial services, investing in people remains essential. He said the company’s rapid growth has been driven by its focus on building digital infrastructure that supports millions of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, making leadership development a strategic priority.
Moniepoint added that the programme aligns with Nigeria’s digital economy ambitions by combining technical expertise with human-centred leadership and data literacy to prepare managers for emerging industry challenges.
The curriculum will be delivered by faculty from the African Leadership University, alongside industry experts including Dr. Olugbenga Afolabi, CEO of Hazon Holdings and founder of the Eko Innovation Centre, and Dr. Omowale Crenshaw, co-founder of Grupo Mecca Colombia and a former McKinsey consultant.
The company said the partnership will strengthen managers’ capabilities in leadership, communication and evidence-based decision-making while promoting environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across its operations.
It added that building stronger internal leadership capacity will support its efforts to expand financial services for individuals and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, while advancing Nigeria’s financial inclusion goals.
