42 Suspects in Custody as FCT Police Arrest Kidnappers, Traffic Robbers, Others

Police recover firearms, ammunition and stolen vehicles during operations across Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has arrested 42 suspects for alleged involvement in various crimes across Abuja. The arrests were made during several operations targeting kidnappers, traffic robbers, armed robbers and other criminal elements in the FCT.

 

 

 

Police said the operations also resulted in the recovery of firearms, ammunition and stolen vehicles from some of the suspects. The command said the arrests followed intelligence-led operations aimed at disrupting criminal networks and improving security across the nation’s capital.

 

 

The suspects are currently in police custody as investigators work to establish their individual roles in the alleged offences and determine their connections to other criminal activities. The recovered exhibits are also being examined as part of the ongoing investigations.

 

 

The FCT Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to tackling kidnapping, robbery and other violent crimes in Abuja. Residents were urged to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with credible information that could assist in preventing and responding to criminal activities
