Hope Dennis Yasso, a lawyer-turned music producer, is growing to be arguably one of the best in the craft, currently in Nigeria.
In the last few years, Hope Denis Yasso, professionally known as DeeYasoo, has stood out among the pool of his colleagues as the unrivalled brain in fussing beats together to form tunes that have got the world into grooving mood.
DeeYasso, who hails from Taraba State, and first of four siblings, exhibited gifted hands from a young age in the church choir, where he started to play the drum set in 1990. His interest in music grew and he moved to learning how to play the guitar and piano in 2000. The hunger for excellence in music went deeper six years later when DeeYasso acquired knowledge in music production. The decision would years later yield some of the irresistible sounds that have propelled his reputation internationally.
Despite being a genius in music production, DeeYasso pursued formal education. He studied Law at the University of Maiduguri in Borno State, and graduated in 2016. Afterwards, he attended the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, and was called to the Nigerian Bar Association as a Lawyer and Solicitor of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria, a year later.
DeeYasso’s career as a renowned music producer literally took off afterwards. He has produced countless timeless hit songs that have endeared him into the hearts of good music lovers across the world. He has worked with major artistes in the Nigerian music industry, such as Chikè, SanTan Dave, SautiSol, NickiJam, Oxlade, Gyakie, JohnnyDrille, Teni, Flavour, KizzDaniel, Ladipoe, Ric Hassani, Simi, Zoro, Nasboi, WandeCoal and many more.
DeeYasso doubles as a lawyer, music producer, mixing and mastering engineer, song writer and a multi-Instrumentalist.
DeeYasso has become a serial starmaker, ranging from Chike’s “Boo Of The Booless” album, which includes the hit single “Running To You” ft Simi, to Ric Hassani’s hit song “Thunder Fire You”, “Intoxicated” by Oxlade ft Santan Dave. The outstanding record producer is yet hitting the biggest proportions in his career. Most viral songs of the moment in the country; “Umbrella” by Nasboi ft Wande Coal and “Egwu” by Chikè ft Mohbad, are products of his creative hands.
His exceptional talent has not gone unnoticed. He has bagged several International music awards, including The Beatz Award as AfroSoul Producer in 2021, 2022, and Afro RnB Producer in 2023.
