NSCDC Arrests Two Over Alleged Vehicle Theft in Nasarawa

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested two suspects over an alleged vehicle-theft case in Nasarawa State. The arrests were announced by the Nasarawa State Command as part of ongoing efforts to tackle vehicle theft and related criminal activities in the state.

According to the report, the arrests followed operational efforts by NSCDC personnel to identify individuals allegedly connected to vehicle-related criminal activities. Authorities said the investigation is continuing as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the suspected theft.

The command said its efforts are focused not only on individual arrests but also on identifying and dismantling criminal networks involved in vehicle theft, robbery and other forms of criminality. This approach is intended to prevent stolen vehicles from being moved or resold through wider criminal networks.

The development comes amid broader security operations in Nasarawa State. Security agencies have recently intensified investigations into theft and other organised criminal activities, including cases involving allegedly stolen motorcycles and fraudulent ownership documentation.

The suspects remain alleged offenders, and their arrest does not by itself establish guilt. Further investigation and any subsequent court proceedings will determine the facts of the case and whether charges can be sustained.
