Commuters were left stranded and many homes flooded in Lagos on Wednesday, following a heavy downpour.
The rain began in the early hours of the morning and left many residents waking up to find their homes and estates already flooded.
According to residents who shared pictures and affected locations on social media, the areas most hit by flood are: Oshodi, Ibeju-Lekki, Mende, Gbagada, Gberigbe in Ikorodu, Isolo, Lekki, Ikoyi, Ikeja, Ajah, among others.
Some major roads were also not spared as commuters could only reach half-way to their destinations.
Pictures shared online showed cars submerged in some estates.
