President Tinubu signs MOUs on Media, Nuclear Energy in China
President Bola Tinubu and Chinese President Xi Jinping, on Tuesday in Beijing witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding on various aspects of shared interest as well as agreeing to build a high-level Nigeria-China community collaboration with a common future.
President Tinubu’s official visit comes ahead of the African leader’s participation in the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, billed to hold from September 4-6, 2024.
At the meeting, Tinubu and Jinping talked up the great prospects that their cooperation will yield for the two nations.
One of the MOUs agreed upon comprise Cooperation plan between Nigeria and China on jointly promoting the Belt and Road Initiative
Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the peaceful application of Nuclear Energy and memorandum of Understanding on strengthening cooperation on Human Resource Development under the Global Development Initiative
Others include Memorandum of Understanding on Media Exchange and Cooperation and Memorandum of Understanding between China Media Group and the Nigerian Television Authority.
