So-Safe Corps Arrests Four Suspected Robbers After Attack in Ogun
Security operatives and community members in Oke-Efon, Ogun State, arrested four suspects after a robbery victim was found injured along a bush path.
Operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) have arrested four people suspected of involvement in an alleged robbery attack in Oke-Efon, Ogun State. According to the report, the incident occurred on August 28, 2026, after members of the community alerted security operatives to an alleged robbery operation in the area.
The victim was reportedly found injured along a bush path after the alleged attack. His calls for help attracted nearby residents, who raised an alarm and remained in the area until security personnel arrived. Community members reportedly assisted the So-Safe Corps during the operation that led to the arrest of the four suspects.
The suspects were identified by the So-Safe Corps as Muhammed Ibrahim, 35; Umukoro Godfrey, 24; Lawal Azeez, 29; and Ogunbiyi Junior, 20. The Corps said its Bode Olude Division mobilised to the location following the distress call from residents.
Security officials said ₦17,500 allegedly taken from the victim was recovered, along with an item authorities believe may be connected to the incident. The recovered exhibits and the suspects were subsequently handed over to the Nigeria Police Force at the Adatan Divisional Headquarters for further investigation.
The case remains under investigation, and the suspects have not been found guilty by a court. The incident highlights the role of cooperation between local communities and security agencies in responding quickly to reported crimes and assisting investigations.
