Ghanaian Afropop singer, Skyface SDW, releases new album, ‘The Menace II’
Gifted Ghanaian artiste, Boachie Solomon Adubofour, known by his stage name, Skyface SDW, has released a new album, ‘The Menace II’.
Skyface SDW, an Afropop singer, again invested his talent into the Extensive Play, which according to him, was inspired and influenced by “my society” ‘Krofrom’, referencing “the struggles and lifestyle”, in the Kumasi area of the West African nation.
The new project, which features eight tracks, was released on June 13, 2024. It is a blend and infusion of hip hop and rap. Again, Skyface SDW exploited his own artistic dexterity to continue to connect with his fans in Ghana and across the world.
Skyface SDW is undoubtedly one of the most adept singers in Africa. He was the first Ghanaian artiste to be featured on the Apple Music Next Up Artist Project in Ghana, validating his immense ability as an entertainer. More so, he is currently one of the biggest music project on Apple Music 2023.
Skyface SDW, who is signed to Life Living Records, burst onto the entertainment scene in 2020, when he dropped “M.O.B”, featuring Reggie and O’Kenneth. He maintained consistency with songs like “Bend Down”, “Bad Boys” and “taking shot”, cementing his profile as a dominant name in the Asakaa collective.
With his rising fame, Skyface SDW was listed among “10 Ghanaian artists to watch in 2023″. He had an even better 2022 after the successful release of his EP “The Menace”, which had his hit track ‘Beyi Me’, featuring fellow record label mates: O’Kenneth, Kwaku DMC, Jay Bahd, City Boy, and Reggie.
Within four years of hardwork and and re-invention, Skyface SDW is increasingly making his mark locally and in the international entertainment space, taking the mainstream music industry and beyond by force.
