The spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has vehemently disagreed with a citizen who described the country as “useless.”
Nigerians are currently going through a rough time, as inflation stands at 33.9 per cent. The government said it is working to improve the economic situtuation but things continue to be tough.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, a user identified as Chudi, wrote: “Nigeria is a very useless country.”
Replying, Adejobi said the country is only having its own share of a global problem.
“I don’t know the Nigeria you referred to, but the one I know, our country called Nigeria, is not useless. It’s only passing through a stage, and it’s a matter of time, for a while. Nigeria is only experiencing what other countries experience globally. The rich also cry. If you are a Nigerian, work for it’s betterment and it shall be well with you. Thus says the Lord,” he posted.
Many Nigerians have fled the country, in search of greener pastures abroad.
