Iheanacho to undergo Sevilla medical this week

...after agreeing to move

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho is set to complete a move to LaLiga outfit, Sevilla. Iheanacho, according to Sky Sports’ transfer expert Florian Pletternberg, has reached verbal agreement with Sevilla on the move.
The Nigeria international is expected to undergo medicals early this week before signing his contract.
The 27-year-old will be joining the former UEFA Europa League winners on a free transfer.
Confirming the development on X on Sunday, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, wrote:
“Sevilla have reached an agreement with Kelechi Iheanacho to join the club as free agent. One more Nigerian signing after Chidera Ejuke, also on free transfer. Documents being prepared as former Leicester City players will join the club  in the next few days, as @Plettigoal reports.”
The forward severed ties with Leicester City earlier this summer following the expiration of his contract. Iheanacho was on the books of Leicester City for seven years. He registered 61 goals and 34 assists in 232 games for the former Premier League champions.
The Spanish La Liga side signed Chidera Ejuke on a free transfer earlier in the summer. Sevilla will be without the services of Youssef En-Nesyri next term as the Moroccan forward has departed the club for Fenerbahçe, thereby leaving a vacuum in García Pimienta’s side.
It appears the hole left by En-Nesyri will now be filled by Iheanacho who is currently a free agent as a result of not renewing his Leicester City contract which expired last month. The 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Ball winner has been linked with a host of clubs including Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town as well as Aston Villa but has decided to embark on a new adventure by moving to Spain.
Iheanacho has spent his entire career in England having started at Manchester City before making a move to Leicester City in 2017 and spent seven years with the club.
