Inzaghi given brutal Tapiro d’Oro immediately after Champions League final loss

Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi reluctantly accepted an extra-large Tapiro d’Oro trophy the day after being humiliated by a 5-0 scoreline in the Champions League final by Paris Saint-Germain.
The Tapiro d’Oro (Golden Tapir) is a novelty award handed out to high-profile individuals who have recently suffered some sort of public embarrassment, as part of the satirical news programme Striscia la Notizia.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alvaro Morata are among the Serie A representatives to have received the award so far this season.
Inzaghi reluctantly accepted the award, but was in no real mood for jokes in the immediate aftermath of Inter’s Champions League humiliation.
He did admit that the Nerazzurri ‘did badly’, and that PSG ‘deserved to win’.
“I’ve always been a sportsman, defeat hurts but we accept it,” he added.
