Odumodublvck wins ‘Next Rated’ as Asake snaps ‘Song of the Year’ at 17th Headies

Rapper Odumodublvck has been adjudged winner of the ‘Next Rated’ award at the 17th edition of The Headies.

The top music ceremony, hosted by actress Nancy Isime, was held on Sunday at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos.

The 17th edition of The Headies clebrated outstanding achievements in music released between April 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024.

Odumodublvck grabbed the ‘Next Rated’ award after beating other nominees, including Qing Madi, Shallipopi, Ayo Maff, and Nasboi.3

The late singer Mohbad won the ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ award, while Rema goy ‘Album of the Year’ for ‘HeIs’.

A special recognition award was also presented to Lagos governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Alex Okosi, and former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Pinnick

Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotosho
and chair of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM),  Abike Dabiri–Erewa were among the dignitaries who graced t the ceremony.
