Barcelona willing to sell up to eight players this summer

Barcelona are all set to offload up to eight players in the summer as they prioritise extending Lamine Yamal and Raphinha’s contracts.

Cash-strapped Barcelona might be forced to offload up to eight players in the summer transfer window as they look to free up funds to make new additions to their squad as well extending the contracts of two of the best players from the 2024-25 campaign, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, according to The Mirror.

17-year-old Yamal has already established himself as one of the best players in the world and the Catalan giants are determined to hold on to the services of the La Masia graduate. Raphinha, on the other hand, experienced the best season of his career and is considered a strong candidate to win the Ballon d’Or this year. Handing long-term contracts to both the attackers remain a priority for the Blaugrana.

Barcelona’s possible sales are being handled by sporting director Deco as the club could part ways with Ansu Fati and Gavi. The report adds that players like Inaki Pena, Ronald Araujo, Hector Fort, Fermin Lopez and Pau Victor could also move out of the Catalan side.

After clinching a seven-goal thriller in El Clasico last weekend, Hansi Flick’s side are now just a win away from securing their 28th La Liga title and completing a domestic double in the 2024-25 campaign. They next face Espanyol on Thursday.
