I no longer love Yvonne Jegede, but I’d still kill for her — Actor Kunle Fawole

Nollywood actor Kunle Abounce Fawole has revealed that although he no longer harbours romantic feelings for his ex-wife, actress Yvonne Jegede, he would still go to great lengths to protect her because of the bond they share through their son.
Speaking during an interview on With Chude, Fawole reflected on their failed relationship, saying he prefers to let go of bitterness rather than cling to grudges.
Recalling the breakup, he said, “I had a girlfriend once, but it didn’t work.” Asked why, he replied, “I think we’re just on different levels. I’d rather be the one to say, ‘Oh, everything was my fault,’ so to speak, I don’t like the hostility of things.”
The actor explained that he has no interest in avoiding people he once loved.
“I don’t want to see somebody that I used to be with down the street, and I turn my face away,” he said, adding that he would gladly greet his ex if they met.
When asked if he still loves Jegede, Fawole responded with a straightforward “No.”
However, he stressed that his respect and sense of responsibility towards her remain unchanged because she is the mother of their son.
“Yes, she’s the mother of my son,” he said before giving a striking example of how far he would go to protect her.
“I’m somewhere, and she’s in trouble; somebody is doing something, I’ll try my best to kill the person,” he said, referring to anyone attempting to harm her.
When the interviewer asked if that was because he wanted to protect her, Fawole replied, “Yes.”
He added that his willingness to defend her stems solely from the fact that “she’s the mother of my child.”
