I’m not against relationships, but against women who use them to escape poverty — Geh Geh

Self-acclaimed finance expert Geh Geh, speaking on the BTC Podcast, has stirred debate after advising men not to make major financial investments in women they are dating, arguing that doing so often leads to financial regret.
During the interview, Geh Geh maintained that his principle on relationships and money remains unchanged, saying, “Don’t train a woman in school. Don’t stress yourself for a woman. Don’t open a business for a woman.”
According to him, many men make the mistake of neglecting their own financial growth in an attempt to please their partners.
When challenged that a woman also puts “all her eggs in one basket” by marrying one man, Geh Geh dismissed the comparison, insisting that “man and woman no be the same.”
He further argued that women often enjoy financial benefits after marriage, claiming, “The day a woman marries you, she won’t pay rent again.”
Clarifying his stance, Geh Geh said he is not against relationships, but against women who use them as a means of escaping poverty.
“I’m not really against relationships. I dey against women wey wan use relationship take escape poverty. When you dey neglect yourself to please a woman, na financial mistake, you go cry,” he said.
To reinforce his argument, he referenced the animal kingdom, claiming that in many species, females are responsible for sourcing food. He suggested that men should prioritise building and protecting their own financial stability rather than making expensive sacrifices for romantic partners.
