“As we protest, please stay safe” – Blackface warns Nigerian youths

Some angry Nigerians kicked off with a 10-day #EndBadGovernance protest

Veteran dancehall singer, Augustine Ahmedu Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface, has urged Nigerians participating in the ongoing nationwide protest to conduct themselves peacefully.

He pointed out that Nigerians are suffering, hence, the protest is justified.

He, however, urged the protesters to be conscious of their safety, stressing that their lives are important.

The ‘Hard Life’ crooner also warned protesters against destroying or vandalising properties.

On his social media page, Blackface wrote: “My people, I know things are rough and tough and yes, we deserve better from our politicians in enriching themselves while we, the people, have very little to get by!

“As we protest, please stay safe, as your life is important, and don’t go destroying people’s properties.”

It is no longer news that some angry Nigerians kicked off with a 10-day #EndBadGovernance protest on Thursday, August 1.
