Google Launches Pixel 11 With New Tensor G6 Chip and Smarter Gemini AI
Google’s latest Pixel lineup brings upgraded cameras, faster on-device AI, a refined design and deeper Gemini integration across the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Google has officially unveiled its Pixel 11 series, introducing a new generation of smartphones focused heavily on artificial intelligence. The lineup includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. All four devices are powered by Google’s new Tensor G6 processor and run Android 17, giving Google a stronger hardware foundation for its expanding Gemini AI features.
One of the biggest upgrades is the Tensor G6 chip, which Google says improves performance and efficiency while providing faster processing for on-device Gemini features. The new processor is paired with Google’s Titan M3 security chip, which introduces stronger protections including post-quantum cryptography for secure boot. Google is positioning the combination of hardware and AI as a major part of the Pixel 11 experience.
Photography also receives significant attention. The Pixel 11 series introduces upgraded camera hardware and new AI-powered photography features designed to help users capture and edit images more intelligently. The Pro models add features including 120x Super Resolution Zoom, Magic Capture, Instant Night Sight and Pro Stable Video, while the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL introduce HiLight, an LED notification system integrated around the camera area.
Google is also making the Pixel ecosystem more connected through Gemini. The company’s new Gemini Intelligence features can use context from supported apps to provide more proactive assistance, while features such as Rambler help clean up natural speech and Circle to Search receives additional capabilities. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold also combines on-device and cloud-based AI to provide more contextual assistance across supported applications.
The Pixel 11 launch shows Google’s strategy of competing in the premium smartphone market through AI integration rather than hardware specifications alone. With improved cameras, stronger security, faster on-device intelligence and a broader Pixel ecosystem, Google is positioning the new series as a direct competitor to flagship devices from Apple and Samsung. The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899, while the lineup extends to the premium Pro models and the $1,899 Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
