Chichi Neblett, a Liberian-born Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, shared her views on long-distance relationships in a recent interview.
The single mother of one revealed that Canada is her favourite travel destination due to its scenery and affordability.
Addressing whether her travels have caused relationship issues, she said they haven’t, as she is clear about her lifestyle from the start. “As an actress and businesswoman, travelling is part of my life. I need a partner who understands that,” she said.
She also stated she would date or marry someone in another city, emphasising that genuine commitment matters more than proximity. “I’d rather love from a distance than settle for comfort without depth. Technology and effort help make long-distance relationships work,” she said.
Reflecting on her past mistakes, she said they shaped her positively.
She also addressed misconceptions about her personality, noting she is caring and affectionate but keeps her circle small because of her playful nature, which can be misunderstood. “I’m very sweet and loving but guard my space. People shouldn’t judge me solely on social media because I’m different offline,” she added.
