Security forces have intensified operations across forests in Kogi State in an effort to locate kidnapped victims and dismantle suspected criminal hideouts. The operation involves personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Army working together to tackle kidnapping and other security threats in the affected areas.

The joint forces have been conducting searches through forested locations believed to be used as hideouts by criminal groups. Several suspected camps have been identified and destroyed during the operations, as security agencies increase pressure on those responsible for abductions in the state.

The operation is also focused on rescuing people believed to be held captive in the forests. Security personnel are continuing their search of difficult-to-access areas while gathering intelligence that could help establish the whereabouts of the victims and identify members of the criminal groups.

The security agencies said the operations would continue until the affected areas are cleared of criminal elements and the abducted victims are recovered. Residents were also encouraged to provide useful information to security personnel to support the ongoing efforts to restore safety across Kogi State.
