Black Christmas as cult attack leaves two dead in Oghara, Delta State
Families of victims in deep mourning
At least two persons were brutally murdered on the eve of Christmas by cultists in Oghara, Delta State.
According to a post by Oghara Voice TV, the victims were shot dead at Oghareki by the assailants, who immediately took off after the attack.
It was alleged that the attackers said to be cultists belonging to the Black Axe were on a mission, as they targeted and killed the victims who were leaders of rival cult groups; Eiye and ‘Rbaga.’
One of the victims was identified simply as Goodluck, and the other as Ogaga Onos.
The families of the victims have been thrown into mourning at a time the world is celebrating Christmas.
As at the time of filing this report, the Delta State Police Command has yet to make any arrests.
There are fears in the community that the development could spark another cult wars witnessed in the past and, that the area might once again be returning to its dark times.
