A suspected Boko Haram member has been arrested by troops over his alleged role in the May 8, 2026 attack on the Nigerian Army Special Forces School (NETTS) in Buni Yadi, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Musa Abdulhamid, was apprehended while allegedly attempting to infiltrate the military facility, marking a major breakthrough in ongoing efforts to track those behind the assault.

Security sources said Abdulhamid was arrested at about 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday following intelligence-led surveillance around the military institution. During preliminary interrogation, the suspect, who is reportedly from Potiskum, Yobe State, allegedly confessed to participating in the attack on the Special Forces School earlier this year.
