I want to try something more daring on screen – Tana Adelana

In a recent interview on the Nollywood on Radio Podcast, she reflected on her career path and shared some roles she hopes to explore.

Talking about the possibility of taking on new challenges as an actress, the light-skinned star said she is keen on starring in a full-fledged action film.

“I want to play an active action movie. I coined that myself. I’ve written a script to that effect, and hopefully, when the funds come in, I will be able to bring it to life,” she said.

According to her, by “active action,” she means a proper gun-wielding film centred around a storyline such as armed robbery.

“I think I have pretty much done everything else that I wanted to do. I have played a stripper, a family woman, a princess, ghetto, and much more,” she added.

The actress also responded to questions about her youthful appearance, attributing her ageless look to a fairly simple lifestyle.

“I started my life quite early, and I am not that old. I started having kids at a very tender age. I rarely smoke or drink alcohol. I also drink plenty of water and mind my own business. That helps a lot in keeping me younger. Don’t forget always to leave your home with your sunscreen,” she advised.

Reflecting on motherhood, Adelana said she does not regret having her children at a young age, although she occasionally wonders whether she should have waited longer before starting a family.

“I feel so elated seeing my kids all grown. They are young adults now, so we practically grew up together,” she said.

The actress admitted that there were times when she felt she could have delayed motherhood to accomplish other personal goals first.

“At some point, I told myself that I would have waited a little longer and gotten some other things done before having them. But seeing them now, I feel so fulfilled. If God grants me long life, I will be part of their lives for a very long time. I love it! My son is taller than me now, and I am so happy,” she said.
