Tragedy has struck as Dr Bawa Ahmed Abimiku, the former Commissioner of Health in Nasarawa State, is dead.
A family source, who while confirming the sad news, said that Abimiku, who also held the traditional title of Durbin Eggon, succumbed to a prolonged illness in the early hours of Tuesday, December 19, at the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi.
The deceased played an important role in the health sector in Nasarawa state, serving as both Commissioner and Member of the State Executive Council, SEC, during the administration of the late Alhaji (Dr) Aliyu Akwe Doma.
Abimiku’s burial ceremony is slated to hold at the Abuja Central Mosque, FCT, at 2:00 pm according to Islamic tradition.
