Former President Muhammadu Buhari has applauded his successor, Bola Tinubu on marking one year in office.
According to a statement issued by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari gave his best wishes to Tinubu.
Buhari urged Nigerians to “continue to strengthen the thread of national unity and goodwill”.
Buharii further appealed to citizens to “give their blessings and support” to Tinubu’s administration so that “it can succeed in its efforts to build the Nigeria of our dreams”.
“President Buhari expressed his wishes for a successful tenure in office by the Tinubu administration,” the statement reads.
As part of the activities marking his one year in office, President Tinubu will inaugurate some projects complemented by, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike
The President will also deliver an address at a joint sitting of the senate and house of representatives on Wednesday.
