NLC suspends proposed nationwide strike over cash crunch

The planned nationwide strike over the scarcity of naira notes has been suspended by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC).

TMY Newspapers recalls that the leadership of the largest trade union body in the country NLC had planned to embark on a nationwide strike from Wednesday but that will not be again as the leadership of the labour union announced the new development at the end of its national executive council meeting held on Tuesday.

The NLC had earlier informed that its member would embark on an indefinite strike from (Wednesday), adding that it would picket branches of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) across the nation.
