Police Hunt Two Men Over Alleged Ikoyi Murder

Ajibola Obateru and Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado declared wanted over alleged killing and disposal of victim’s body

The Nigeria Police Force has declared two men, Ajibola Obateru, 33, and Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, 32, wanted over alleged conspiracy and murder in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State. The declaration was contained in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued under the authority of the Inspector-General of Police and referenced Force Directive C.I.D. No. 48.

Police alleged that Obateru conspired with others to attack a female victim who was subsequently killed, with her body and personal belongings allegedly taken away. His last known address was listed as Ibadan, Oyo State. Authorities described him as a thinly built Yoruba man, about 5.9 feet tall, with an oval face, long nose, small mouth, thin lips, black eyes, fair complexion and pointed chin.

Balogun Alagbado was also declared wanted over the same allegations. According to the police bulletin, he allegedly conspired with others in attacking the victim, whose body was later moved to an unknown location, while her belongings were allegedly stolen. His last known address was similarly given as Ibadan, and police described him as a Yoruba man of average height with an oval face, wide nose, long and wide mouth, medium lips, dark complexion and round chin.

The police urged anyone with information that could help locate either suspect to contact the nearest police station or the Office of the Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigation Department, Musiliu Smith Street, Panti-Yaba, Lagos.
