Jeffter Ohene Kwaah: Footballer-turned entrepreneur behind Norway’s biggest barbershop


Jeffter Ohene Kwaah, a former footballer who played for Ghana’s Black Starlets Under-20 and Norwegian club Strindheim TF, has proven that his business acumen is just as impressive as his sports prowess.. As founder of Edge Barbershop,
Jeffter Kwaah has expanded his business into three cities in Norway, with the latest branch in Trondheim being the largest barbershop in the country.
“We are an exquisite barbershop founded on the traditional gentleman’s concept where men gather in their local barbershop to get pampered as well as experience a unique feeling beyond just haircuts and trims,” Kwaah explained.

Edge Barbershop Trondheim, which opened on November 12, 2021, has ever since attracted a loyal clients such as top celebrities, including American rappers Rick Ross and Wyclef Jean, comedian Aries Spears, Canadian singer Justin Bieber, and Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie. The barbershop’s unique concept, which includes a coffee lounge, grooming store, and barber school, has set it apart from other barbershops in Norway.
“We are not just a barbershop, we are a community,” Kwaah said. “We want our customers to feel at home when they come to us, and we strive to provide them with the best service possible.”
Kwaah’s entrepreneurial spirit was evident even during his football career. He played professional football for Strindheim TF in Norway and represented Ghana’s Under-20 team in 2010. After retiring from football, Kwaah pursued a career in modeling, signing with New York-based Surface Models Management.
“I’ve always been passionate about business and entrepreneurship,” Kwaah said. “I saw an opportunity to start a barbershop franchise in Norway, and I took it.”
Today, Edge Barbershop is one of the most successful barbershop franchises in Norway, with branches in Oslo, Lillestrom, and Trondheim. Kwaah’s vision for the company is to continue to expand and provide excellent service to his customers.
