Women stage solidarity rally for emergency rule in Rivers

After last week’s protest against Emergency Rule in Port Harcourt by women groups, sme women in Port Harcourt are presenttly organizing a solidarity walk for the same emergency rule in the oil rich state.
Dressed in white, and holding aloft placards with inscriptions like ‘prosecute the bombers of Rivers assembly, ‘state of emergency is constitutional’, the women are also declaring support for Ibok-Ete Ibas, the sole administrator of Rivers.
This ongoing solidarity rally is a counter effort to the one held on April 11, where a group of women in Rivers protested the suspension of Siminalayi Fubara, the governor, and the declaration of emergency rule in the state by President Bola Tinubu.
