300 Benefit from Adekunle Gold’s Sickle Cell Initiative
Nigerian music superstar Adekunle Gold has once again demonstrated his commitment to giving back to the community. Through his foundation, he has provided vital health and medication aid to over 300 individuals.
In partnership with the Sickle Cell Advocacy & Management Initiative, the Adekunle Gold Foundation conducted a medical outreach in various parts of Lagos State, targeting those living with sickle cell disease.
This initiative is the latest in a series of efforts by the foundation to support underprivileged and vulnerable communities in Nigeria.
Beyond medical aid, the Adekunle Gold Foundation has also announced a scholarship to the Music Business Academy Africa for individuals with sickle cell.
The scholarship aims to provide valuable knowledge and skills in the music industry to those affected by the disease.
Earlier this year, the foundation partnered with the Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative for a similar outreach, benefiting nearly 250 people. During this event, Adekunle Gold also paid a courtesy visit to the Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria Center, where he was warmly received by the Communications officer, Abayomi Oyelami.
Known for his advocacy work and personal experience with sickle cell, Adekunle Gold has become a prominent ambassador for the community. His efforts have been recognized by the National Director of Sickle Cell Foundation Nigeria, Dr Annette Akinsete, who commended his contributions in a Letter of Appreciation.
