AFCON 2025 Qualifying: Rohr to unveil Benin team for Super Eagles clash on Thursday
Benin Republic manager, Gernot Rohr is set to release the identities of his squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, qualifiers against Nigeria and Libya on Thursday
According to Joueurs Beninois, there is the likelihood of Paris Saint-Germain right-back Colin Dagba getting a call-up.
Dagba has said he was interested in playing for Benin Republic.
The Cheetahs, as the Benin side are called are expected to begin preparation for the games this weekend.
Rohr’s squad will be the visitors of the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Saturday, September 7.
They defeated their neighbours 2-1 in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in June.
The Cheetahs will host the Mediterranean Knights of Libya at the Felix Houphet Boigny Stadium, Abidjan, in a matchday two tie on Tuesday, September 10.
