According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal remain interested in Victor Osimhen but the Nigeria international wants to stay in Europe and is waiting to join Paris Saint-Germain.
Osimhen continues the pre-season with Napoli and will join the team in Castel Di Sangro for the second part of preparation while waiting for a move to PSG.
Corriere dello Sport and Gazzetta claim that a move to the French capital is now a priority for Osimhen. Tuttosport reported last week that the striker has already agreed personal terms with the club.
However, the French giants must sell Gonçalo Ramos or Randal Kolo Muani before sending an official offer to Napoli. PSG are unlikely to pay the entire €130m clause, but Napoli will look for at least €100m.
Two clubs who can surely match Napoli’s demands are Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League. According to Il Corriere dello Sport, both sides are waiting for the developments of PSG talks with Osimhen before making a formal bid.
“The dream of a lifetime was the Premier League, then the PSG track came up, now the Arab one is reopening, the last one taken into consideration at the beginning of the summer which, however, could also become the only one if in the next few days the gap between supply and demand with the Paris club does not reduce.
Osimhen will stay at Napoli who knows how long, after all there are no teams willing to pay the €130 million clause. De Laurentiis is willing to review the final figure but will not move away from the three figures. Under these conditions, despite the presence of Campos who brought Osimhen to Lille and is pushing for his arrival, PSG will not proceed, also because there is plenty in attack with Kolo Muani and Gonçalo Ramos still in the squad,” the newspaper wrote.
“The French are offering a maximum of 90 million and have vetoed Lee Kang-in as a possible counterpart. So, here comes the Arab trail again. Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal are waiting to see how the deal between PSG and Napoli will evolve before officially proceeding. Osimhen would like to stay in Europe, but Arabia risks becoming the last opportunity in the near future , in the meantime he will continue to train under Conte’s orders”, reports the well-known sports daily.
