Bandits killed my husband, police now teargassing my baby – Abuja female protester
A female protester in Abuja has revealed how police officers teargassed her and her baby at the Eagles Square in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The FCT Police Command had said the Eagles Square is out of bound to protesters, after a high court on Wednesday, restricted them to the MKO Abiola Stadium.
However, it was reported that on Thursday, some protesters made attempt to forcefully gained entrance into the facility which they had initially informed the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, as the venue of choice for the, demonstration before the court injunction.
According to TheCable, the woman said bandit killed her husband in Katsina and she was motivated by the hardship and state of the nation to join the protest.
“I came to protest the hardship in Nigeria and the police are shooting tear gas at us. Do they also want to kill my baby? People cannot eat. Things are hard,” she said.
