BBNaija S9: Nelita pair emerges as Head of House, as Ndi Nne bids show farewell

The dynamic duo of Nelly and Anita (Nelita pair) has emerged the new head of house (HoH) for the week three in the ongoing reality TV show, Big Brother Nigeria Season 9 (BBNaija S9), dubbed ‘No Loose Guard’.

The pair became the HoH after winning the customary game challenge in the arena on Monday. In a ballot exercise, the duo earned the highest number of votes – eight out of 12 – cast by the housemates to select the new HoH. They would lead their fellow accomplish all task as asigned by Biggie.

They chose Chekas pairs as their HoH guests, a surprising choice which spurred comments from many fans.

Meanwhile, shortly after big aunty and her niece, the Ndi Nne pair were evicted from the competition on Sunday, the Wanni x Handi pair won the custodian challenge for the week. The win gives them immunity from being evicted on Sunday and the power to either save or evict a nominated pair.

The HoH are saddled with the responsibility of coordinating tasks in the house and maintaining orderliness. The evicted Ndi Nne had during term as HoH, led the house to win their first wager for the season. To celebrate their win, Biggie played music and the housemates grooved and enjoyed the beats.

Challenges and Frustrations
Prior to the wager win on Friday, and their eviction on Sunday, Ndi Nne were at loggerheads, as they had an argument over their responsibilities. Big sister Chinne called her niece Nne out for not involving her in the wager planning and splitting of tasks among the pairs. The later tried to explain but aunty wasn’t in the mood to listen as she told baby sister, “anything you want to do, do,” as she went on to complain that Nne was going about the HoH role as if she’s the only one in charge.
Meanwhile, during the dairy session with Biggie, Rhuthee second half of the Flourish pair (DJ Flo and Rhuthee), expressed her disappointment at not winning any challenges despite sustaining bruises at the immunity challenge. Her friend and partner, DJ Flo emphasised the need for collective involvement in the wager, criticising the HoH for merely delegating tasks without following up.
According to DJ Flo, “People went to sleep forgetting about the wager,” and she couldn’t understand why the HoH were sleeping. The duo went further to discuss Sooj’s game-playing tactics with the ladies in the house, noting that some, like Handi, Victoria and Rhuthee were aware of his intentions.
Rhuthee hinted at an impending confrontation with Sooj saying, “I will explode on him soon,” while DJ Flo pointed out that Nelly seemed oblivious to Sooj’s manipulative ways.
The in-house detectives concluded their diary session with a promise to Biggie that they would keep on digging up dirt in the house, with DoubleKay’s relationship status top of their agenda.

From struggles with teamwork and leadership to personal conflicts and the pressure of the competition, fans attest that it’s not easy being a No Loose Guard housemate.

As the show continues, and climax on Sunday, October 6, 2024, the grand prize for this season is a spectacular N100 million, which includes a cash prize and an SUV, with additional sponsored prizes to be announced.
