Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has agreed to join Turkish Super Lig giants Galatasaray on loan. According to football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Nigeria international will fly to Istanbul on Monday night, while Napoli and Galatasaray review the documents.
“Victor Osimhen has accepted to join Galatasaray on loan. Understand Osimhen’s now asking for release clause at Napoli to become €75m instead of €130m. Also wants a break clause for January in case top clubs approach him over move. Final points being discussed,’ he wrote.
He added: “Flight ready for Victor Osimhen to Istanbul later tonight. Documents being reviewed right now.”
Earlier in the day, he revealed that Galatasaray had reached an agreement to sign the Napoli star on loan. The wantaway striker was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea throughout the summer transfer window, with a move to the Premier League his ‘dream’, but the Blues could not get the deal done.
Osimhen had also come close to a move to Al-Ahli after the Saudi Arabian club agreed a deal to sign the Nigerian forward, but he decided to reject the move.
Following the conclusion of the window, it was reported that Napoli had banished Osimhen from their first-team squad, due to his relationship with the club being ‘broken’. With a one-year loan agreement in place with Turkish giants on a one-year loan deal, it is believed that Napoli will cover Osimhen’s salary if he were to make the move and it is now down to the striker to give the green light.
