Breaking: Tinubu signs minimum wage bill into law
Tinubu had last week approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers
President Bola Tinubu has signed the National Minimum Wage Bill into Law.
The signing was done in the Council Chambers of State House in the middle of Federal Executive Council Meeting, where he presided.
The council meeting took a break to welcome the leadership of the National Assembly led by President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, to witness the signing.
The Head of Service of the Federation, Folashade Yemi-Esan, said this will help douse tension in the country and amongst workers.
The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, assured of speedy implementation.
Tinubu had last week approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers and pledged to review the national minimum wage law every three years.
