Nollywood Actress and Serial Enterprenuer Dr Carolyna Hutching has voiced her distress on social media following a life threatening encounter at the Ashluxury store in Lekki, Lagos which also involved veteran actress Shan George and three other individuals.
According to Hutchings, the situation unfolded when she and George parked for less than 15 min in front of the store waiting for an uber.
Despite there being no visible ‘No Parking Signs, inadequate lighting, and no apparent security measures, they were aggressively confronted by men in plain clothes, even after her spy police man pleaded with them to be patient.
The men, who were reportedly security personnel, threatened to damage their car, banged on their doors, and used tear gas at them directly into their car while Dr Carolyna and Shan George were seated.
Hutchings detailed on Instagram that the situation escalated to the point where tear gas was reportedly used. She is still traumatized and has been on medical observation.
“There was no violence or weapon from my side, the man who claimed to be a police was only wearing a white kaftan intentionally sprayed tear gas at me. Shan George and other occupants of the vehicle, he later went into the ash luxury premises to change to his police uniform and brought out a gun to shoot’ She said.
Shan George also raised concerns about potential underlying health issues, calling for a thorough investigation into the store’s practices.
In an emotional INSTAGRAM post, George her distress and demanded accountability for the incident.

There has been no public or private apology or acknowledgment from the branding regarding the life-threatening event, nor any effort to hand out the attached to the proper authorities.
Carolyna’s instagram from yesterday revealed she was hospitalized following the incident.
