CBN orders banks to load ATMs, issues warning against disbursing cash to naira hawkers

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has ordered banks to ensure cash is available in Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) across the country.

The CBN gave the order on Friday, in a stayrmrnt issued by its acting Director, Currency Operations Department, Solaja Olayemi.

The apex bank also warned that it would penalise banks disbursing naira notes to persons hawking the Nigerian currency.
