Davido to perform at closing ceremony of Qatar World Cup
High-riding Nigerian musician, Davido is scheduled to perform at the closing ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The closing ceremony of the FIFA World Cup is slated to hold on December 18, 2022.
Disclosing news of a Davido performance in front of a global viewing audience of over a billion people, Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung, stated on his Instagram story on Thursday his excitement with the development that will see one of Nigeria’s top musicians rock the world stage, by performing a medley of his hit songs.
“So happy my bro #davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there.”
TMY Newspapers recalls that Davido has deliberately stayed out from the limelight after the tragic death of son, Ifeanyi in October.
Davido’s only public outing was at the inauguration ceremony of his uncle Ademola Adeleke, as Osun state governor.
Report of a performance by Davido will be soothing to many Nigerians, who were thrown into wild jubilation when the hit song of another Nigerian musician Rhema was belted out by the resident DJ during half time of the last-16 round match between Brazil and South Korea
