EFCC arrests E-Money for spraying dollars, abusing naira

The long arm of the law is at work as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested top businessman E-Money over allegations of naira abuse and spraying of foreign currencies.
The popular socialite, whose real names are Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, was arrested at his Omole, Lagos abode last night.
The arrest of E-Money was said to have been an offshoot of a video which went viral, showing him spraying American dollars at a social event, an act that contravenes the Foreign Exchange Act.
An insider in EFCC said that preliminary investigations are going on and that E Money will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is finalised.
When contacted, EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, refused to comment on the matter.
But sources within the anti-graft agency said that the businessman is being taken to Abuja to face additional questioning.
