Ex-minister Farouq returns to EFCC after release on Monday night
Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouq, has returned home after hours of quizzing by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
She is expected to go back to the anti graft agency on Tuesday for further clarifications on sundry issues that the anti-graft agency flagged in the course of its preliminary investigations.
Recall that TMY Newspapers reported that the former Minister gave up herself for probe at the headquarters of the EFCC on Monday.
Our correspondent reports that Farouq is being investigated over the sum of N37,170,855,753.44 that was allegedly laundered under her watch.
