Four soldiers have lost their lives in <span;>Gudu Local Government Area of Sokoto State, following an attack by terrorists.
According to Channels Television, sources familiar with the attack in the border town of Balle, the headquarters of Gudu local government area, said the assailants laid an ambush against the army personnel and open fire on their moving vehicle.
The publication said the four soldiers died instantly, while seven others sustained different degrees of injuries. The injured soldier are said to be receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
Two operational vehicles of the military personnel were also reported set on fire by the terrorists.
The Nigerian army is yet to confirm the report.
