Israeli attack kills at least 20 in Gaza as IDF orders more evacuations

At least 20 people have been killed by an Israeli strike in Jabalia on Friday night, according to the Reuters news agency citing medics.

This morning, the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said 49 had been killed across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours in five Israeli attacks – estimating at least 42,175 people there have been killed since 7 October last year

Meanwhile, world leaders have condemned attacks on United Nations peacekeepers by Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, after a second incident within 48 hours

This morning, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued further evacuation orders in the Gaza City area

In Israel, the IDF says it has intercepted a “number of launches” from Lebanon, and earlier reported that two drones were detected from Lebanon and another from Syria

Lebanon’s prime minister says 22 people were killed in two Israeli attacks in central Beirut on Thursday, which came with no warning, and were all civilians
