At least 300 people have been killed by Israeli bombardment on a refugee camp in northern Gaza over the past nine days, the Gaza government media office said Sunday. On Saturday, at least 22 people were killed, according to emergency responders. It comes as Israel is intensifying its military operations in the area, issuing evacuation orders and blocking food supplies.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has told the UN to get its peacekeepers out of Lebanon, warning they are “in harm’s way.” The injury of five UNIFIL staff by Israeli fire has drawn international condemnation. The Israeli military said Hezbollah fired over 300 projectiles into Israel from Lebanon on Saturday. Meanwhile, Israel has expanded evacuation warnings to over a dozen more villages in southern Lebanon — placing a quarter of Lebanese territory under evacuation orders.
