Jennifer Jonathan Nominated for The Future Awards Africa

Jennifer Jonathan, the founder of Bridging Education Gap Africa, has been nominated for The Future Awards Africa Prize for Education.

 

This prestigious award scheduled to be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at Federal Palace Hotel, VI Lagos celebrates young people between the ages of 18 and 31 who have made outstanding achievements in the year under consideration.

Jennifer is joined by other nominees, including Odunayo Aliu, Kudakwashe Foya, Obasanjo Fajemirokun, and Aramide Kayode, all dedicated to driving positive changes in Africa’s educational landscape.

Bridging Education Gap Africa, a registered nonprofit organization founded by Jennifer, is on a mission to revitalize Africa’s education system. With a focus on providing essential materials to schools and students in low-income communities, the organization aims to foster equitable and quality education for all.

Through impactful initiatives like the Backpack Initiative, Support a Teacher, and Support a School, Bridging Education Gap is making strides in addressing educational inequalities and supporting vulnerable students.

As of 2024, Bridging Education Gap Africa has supported 435 students across three years. The organization has shown substantial growth, supporting 135 students in 2022, adding 210 more in 2023, and an additional 90 in 2024. With its commitment to continuity, Bridging Education Gap Africa renews supplies for previous beneficiaries each year to ensure sustainable support.

As The Future Awards Africa marks its 18th edition, Jennifer’s nomination highlights her dedication and the profound impact of Bridging Education Gap in fostering a brighter future for Africa’s children.

This recognition is a testament to her commitment to providing resources that transform lives and create opportunities for children in underserved communities.
